We offer support to women born a girl and living as a woman, from age 18, in all community and religious background, including Black, Asian and Minority Groups, Asylum Seekers, Refugees and Migrants Workers.
Our dedicated team works in partnership with various support services such as: Immigration Services, Humberside Police (DASIT) Domestic Abuse & Safeguarding Investigation Team, Domestic Abuse Housing Team, Children and Adult Social Services, Drugs and Alcohol Services, Mental Health Serves and the Criminal Justice System. We prioritize the woman and children in every aspect of the work we do and support them in various ways, depending on their needs. We assess their needs by conducting a Risk Assessment, this is used to create a personalized Support Plan and Safety Plan that reflects their safety and support needs.
The service consists of a Domestic Abuse Floating Support Service and Crisis Accommodations within Hull. Both Domestic Abuse Floating support and Crisis Support could be accessed by self-referral, visiting our center, professionals or by contacting Hull City Council Housing Team.
Crisis Accommodation
The crisis accommodation is first and foremost a safe space for vulnerable women and children who have fled or fleeing domestic abuse – providing a secure place to start the process of recovery from domestic abuse and to prevent homelessness. We provide client centered domestic abuse floating support, housing related support and access specialist support.
Whilst in our Crisis Accommodation, they are allocated a Crisis Housing Worker and a Crisis Domestic Abuse Worker throughout their duration within our service. After moving on from the accommodation into their own independent accommodation, they are offered the choice to continue to receive Domestic Abuse floating support.
Domestic Abuse Floating Support
The Domestic Abuse Floating Support Service: We offer practical support to vulnerable and children within the community. Our primarily objective is to ensure they are safeguarded appropriately within their homes and communities – we do this through building a trauma informed relationship with them and develop trust, explore their existing safety strategies and validate their strength and resilience. We jointly create a Risk Assessment in order to create a safety plan and support plan tailored to their needs.
