Domestic Violence and Abuse Service
The Domestic Violence and Abuse Service is available free to any Women whose life is or has been affected by Domestic Violence and Abuse.
We define Violence and Abuse as Physical, Emotional, Financial and Sexual Abuse, which is carried out usually by men against their female partners or ex partners. We recognise that Domestic Violence and Abuse is a serious crime, and believe that it harms Women, children, families and communities. We also believe that violent men are 100% responsible for their abuse.
The aim of our work is to make Preston Road a safer place to live. We therefore provide a range of services that support Women and the community as a whole.
Women’s Support Service
Women’s Support Service offers one to one support to Women experiencing Domestic Violence and Abuse by providing emotional support as well as practical advice and information on things such as police, Injunctions, Housing and Welfare Benefits. The service also helps Women with safety plans inside and outside the home, and runs Training Courses for Women, Community Groups and other agencies on a range of subjects relating to Domestic Violence and support work.
All of these services are FREE and CONFIDENTIAL
The Understanding Abusive Relationships course is a popular and fun introduction for Women interested in understanding more about Abusive Relationships.
