What is it all about?

In 2006 WINNER was given an amount of money to distribute to local women and women’s groups. This money was given by The Scarman Trust (a national charity) who identified that the women’s centre is a place with whom is in touch with their local community.

Who can apply for grants?

Local women and local women’s groups in the Preston Road and surrounding areas.

What will the grants be for?
Each of those grants must be used to improve health or provide a learning opportunity for the women receiving the grants. The maximum amount available per application will be £500.
